Pick 3 / Pick 4 / Pick 5
Additional Rules
Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets are bearer instruments. For your protection, sign the back of your game tickets after purchase. A playslip is neither a valid receipt nor proof of purchase. Your game ticket, not your playslip, is the only valid proof of the selection made and the only valid proof for claiming a prize.
Before you leave the retailer’s location, be sure to verify that the selections on your ticket are the selections you requested on your playslip, including bet type, bet amount, the drawings you want to enter and the numbers you want to play. You have the sole responsibility for checking the accuracy of the data printed on your ticket(s). Tickets are valid only for the drawing dates shown on your ticket. The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (“Lottery” or “Maryland Lottery”) is responsible only for the numbers actually played via the Lottery terminal. Neither the Lottery, nor Lottery retailers, will be responsible for printing errors. Pick 3 / Pick 4 / Pick 5 tickets can be cancelled but only by the same Lottery retailer who sold the ticket and only on the day of purchase. Any cancellations must be made prior to game closings. For certain promotions, tickets may not be able to be cancelled. In general, games close approximately three to five minutes before the drawing occurs.
By purchasing a Pick 3 / Pick 4 / Pick 5 ticket, the player agrees that all Maryland Lottery Pick 3 / Pick 4 / Pick 5 game rules and the rules stated on this website and on the playslip, as well as all Maryland Lottery Laws, statutes, regulations, rules, policies, procedures and decisions, and all other applicable laws, and any changes to any of the above, govern all aspects of the Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 games, features, tickets, playslips, claiming, prizes and payment.
The Lottery is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed tickets, tickets redeemed by a Lottery retailer in error, or winning numbers repeated or displayed in error. All winning tickets are subject to validation by the Lottery in accordance with Lottery rules and regulations. Tickets irregular in any manner or failing to meet validation tests or other requirements are void.
Prizes are not assignable or transferable except as provided by law. All winnings are subject to state, local and federal taxation. The Lottery’s liability for void or nonconforming tickets, if any, is limited to replacement of the ticket. Tickets may not be sold to, bought by or cashed by minors under the age of 18. Prizes must be claimed within 182 days after the date of the relevant drawing.
