Claims $50,000 prize on Double Your Money scratch-off
After years of winning small Maryland Lottery prizes, a Baltimore woman received a major shock. She bought a Double Your Money scratch-off and won its $50,000 top prize.
The 10-year government retiree plays Lottery games weekly and favors scratch-offs. She will occasionally play a draw game, however, if the jackpot is high. One day, the 61-year-old stopped at Crosstown Liquors in Baltimore to buy an instant ticket. The $5 Double Your Money game caught her eye.
As soon as the city resident got home, she scratched off her instant ticket and got quite the surprise. “It shocked the heck out of me,” the lucky winner said. She shared her great news with her immediate family members, who were also shocked at her Lottery luck.
Crosstown Liquors also gets to share in the fun. The business located at 3245 Belair Road will receive a $500 bonus for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
