Bel Air Retiree Looks Forward to Paying Off Bills with Big Win

Takes home $100,000 Gold Rush 7s Multiplier top prize

A Bel Air man was scanning his Gold Rush 7s Multiplier scratch-off on his phone and got the message that every Lottery player dreams of receiving after purchasing a ticket.

“It said ‘Go to Lottery’. I knew it was a good thing,” the retiree said with a smile.

The big winner scanned the “prize check” QR code on the ticket before scratching it to see if it was a winner. Once he received the abovementioned message, he decided he should scratch the ticket. He saw he matched the number 58, and under the number was a $100,000 prize.

“There was a lot of excitement when I saw it was $100,000,” he added.

According to the Harford County resident, he plans to use his prize to pay off bills.

Another big winner is the Fountain Green Wawa, located at 1515 E. Churchville Road. The Harford County retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning scratch-off.

This is the fourth top-prize win on the Gold Rush 7s Multiplier game since it launched on May 20, 2024. Four top prizes of $100,000 still remain unclaimed, along with 23 $10,000 second-tier prizes and others ranging from $10 to $1,000. The other games in the Gold Rush scratch-off family are the $1 Gold Rush 7s, $2 Gold Rush 7s Doubler, $5 Gold Rush Tripler and $20 Gold Rush 777 games.
