Baltimore man claims $25,568 prize with Superfecta bet
The birthday gifts just keep on coming for a lucky Baltimore County man! He celebrated on the date of his birth earlier this year and is now celebrating a $25,568 prize won on a Racetrax horse combination that mixed the digits of his birth date and year.
The lucky player bought his ticket at Quick Mart in Towson, which is one of his Racetrax spots. He’ll try an occasional Pick 4 game, the player said, but Racetrax is his favorite game.
The Baltimore resident placed a Superfecta bet on June 9 for 20 drawings on the 5, 6, 7 and 1 horses to cross the finish line in that exact order. To make the deal a little sweeter, he added the Bonus multiplier to his ticket. He looked at the Maryland Lottery app on his phone later that day and saw that all four horses crossed the line in the right order in the 19th race. Instead of receiving a regular $6,392 prize, his 4X Bonus gave the lucky man a grand total win of $25,568.
The happy player hasn’t shared the news with anyone. He says that he just plans to deposit his winnings into his bank account and possibly take a small vacation.
Quick Mart, located at 8604 Loch Raven Boulevard in Towson, will receive a $255.68 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
