Lucky player claims top prize on $100,000 Cash Scratch-off
After years of dedication and countless scratch-off purchases, an anonymous player nicknamed “Jack” struck gold with a $100,000 top-prize win. The longtime fan of scratch-offs found her big payday in a Severna Park Rite Aid.
On the day she encountered Lottery luck, “Jack” purchased a $30 instant ticket in the $100,000 Ca$h game. She scanned the prize check area immediately and was stunned to see the life-changing message: “Winner, $100,000.”
“I’ve never seen so many zeros,” “Jack” told Lottery officials when she claimed her prize. She was still astonished by the win. “My heart was beating so fast, I thought it was going to come out of my chest.”
Quickly leaving the Anne Arundel County store, “Jack” rushed home to share the thrilling news with close family members, including a brother who shares her passion for the Lottery and is also hoping to someday win a top prize.
When asked how she plans to spend her winnings, “Jack” responded without hesitation. “I’ll get ahead on bills and help my family members. And, of course, I’ll keep playing. It’s my hobby.”
This milestone win not only brings joy to “Jack” but also rewards the retailer, Rite Aid located at 25 Jones Station Road in Severna Park. As the seller of the $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the store will receive a Lottery bonus of $1,000.
The $100,000 Ca$h game went on sale in September 2023 with 60 $100,000 top prizes; 50 remain. The game also has plenty of prizes ranging from $30 to $5,000 awaiting discovery.
