$3 game delivers its fourth progressive jackpot prize
A Tuesday trip to the grocery store delivered a big prize for a lucky Maryland Lottery player in Columbia who bought a FAST PLAY SLINGO® ticket.
A customer at the Wegman’s store located at 8855 McGaw Road in Columbia bought a $3 SLINGO® ticket that won a progressive jackpot worth $68,280.71. The Howard County retailer will receive a $682.81 bonus for selling the ticket, equal to 1% of the prize value.
Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. The player gets 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
SLINGO® made its debut in the FAST PLAY lineup on Feb. 6, 2023, and the ticket sold on Oct. 15 in Columbia was the game’s fourth progressive jackpot winner. It is the largest of the four progressive jackpots, as the previous three progressive jackpot prizes were $30,028; $37,616; and $39,571. SLINGO® features a progressive jackpot that starts at $14,000 and grows with the sale of each ticket until a progressive jackpot-winning ticket is purchased. SLINGO® still has 11 progressive jackpots remaining, along with instant-win prizes ranging from $3 to $1,000.
