Big Cash Riches swiftly delivers a $100,000 top prize to Crisfield scratch-off fan, Crystal Swift!

Lottery players often dream of turning a $10 scratch-off prize into a $100,000 windfall and Crystal Swift of Crisfield saw that dream come true. The 57-year-old Eastern Shore player cashed in a $10 scratch-off on Friday, bought more instant tickets and walked away with a $100,000 win.
Crystal plays scratch-offs exclusively and reports that it’s one of her favorite things to do. Last Friday, she took a $10 winning scratch-off to Crisfield Oceanic to claim her prize. While there, Crystal saw a man playing Big Cash Riches scratch-offs and decided to purchase four of the $10 games. The Somerset County resident took them to her car to play. Crystal was surprised to have two winners in her batch of instant tickets, including a $100,000 top-prize winning Big Cash Riches game.
“When I saw that “stack of dollars” symbol, I thought it would be around $200,” she said. “I was so excited and overwhelmed when I saw it really was $100,000.” Crystal also won $200 on another one of her scratch-off games.
The lucky player was so excited about her wins that she mistakenly hit the gas pedal in her car instead of the brake when trying to get out of the parking lot. When she calmed down, but still in tears, she called her mom and shared the news. And then, she finally made it home to tell her husband.
“He had to see the ticket and then read the whole thing before he believed me,” said the big winner. The mother of two adult children and grandmother of one also shared the news with them.
“My grandbaby said ‘You’re rich,’” recalled the winner, laughing.
Crystal’s husband then locked the instant ticket in a safe, where it stayed until she was ready to come to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the prize. The generous winner, who is not currently working due to a disability, said she plans to use the prize to fix up her house and to share with family members.
Also sharing in this win is Crisfield Oceanic located at 55 Richardson Avenue in Somerset County. For its role in selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the Crisfield retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
The Big Cash Riches game still has big prizes up for grabs. There are three unclaimed $100,000 top prizes, six $20,000 prizes, 11 $10,000 prizes and 24 $1,000 prizes remaining in the game.
