Prefers scratch-offs but is glad she tried the FAST PLAY ticket
A resident of Delaware who took her weekly trip into Maryland to play Lottery games reeled in a $27,926 progressive jackpot prize in the FAST PLAY Gold Fish® game.
Why does she cross the state line to play Maryland Lottery games? “I have better luck in Maryland,” the Middletown resident said, explaining that she’s had more winning tickets here than in her home state.
The New Castle County player stopped at Royal Farms #136 in Cecilton to buy the $2 ticket. When she looked it over, she spotted three “dolphin” symbols in the seventh row, which she found interesting since her father was a Miami Dolphins football fan.
Then, she saw the prize listed as “Progressive Jackpot” and the current progressive jackpot amount at the top of her ticket read $27,926! The lucky woman prefers to play scratch-offs but was glad she decided to try a FAST PLAY game. “I only play the progressive games when the jackpot gets high,” she said.
The 40-year-old, who also likes to travel, plans to use the prize to pay bills.
Her favorite Lottery retailer is Royal Farms #136, which is located at 115 North Bohemia Avenue in Cecil County. The government worker purchased the ticket on Oct. 16 at that location. For selling the winning ticket, the Cecilton retailer will receive a $279.27 bonus.
Our Delaware winner is the sixth Gold Fish® progressive jackpot winner since the game went on sale on Sept. 5, 2022. Fourteen progressive jackpots still remain along with prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000.
