Takes home Money Money Money top prize
A Dundalk woman had her eye on the $5 Money Money Money scratch-off on Friday, but waited until Monday to purchase the ticket. It’s a good thing she returned to the store to buy the ticket as it turned out to be a $50,000 winner.
The big winner said she is a loyal scratch-off player that keeps an eye on the prize structure for many games. She liked her chances with Money Money Money as there were four $50,000 top-prizes remaining.
“I knew there were still some big prizes left,” she said.
She went to the Dundalk Soda Pop Store at 7715 Westfield Road on Friday, purchased a FAST PLAY ticket and won $25. She thought about buying a Money Money Money scratch-off then, noticed the ticket number 004 on the ticket, but decided to go home.
When the retiree returned to the Baltimore County store on Monday, she was happy to see that same ticket with the serial number 004 was still there.
“It was still there,” she said with excitement. “No one had bought it.”
After she purchased the ticket, she scanned it and received a “Go to Lottery” message. She wanted to find out her prize, so she scratched away. Immediately, she saw that her second number on the first line was a seven. That matched the winning number seven with the top prize of $50,000
“I was in shock,” explained the winner, who plans to use her prize to purchase a new car.
Soda Pop Store also wins. The lucky retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning scratch-off.
Money Money Money was released on March 18 and our Dundalk winner becomes the fifth top prize winner on the game. Now three $50,000 prizes remain unclaimed, along with prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
