A Germantown Racetrax fan describes his most recent Lottery experience as nothing short of lucky. The 51-year-old usually bets on high-numbered horses and this time was no different – except he won big! Because he added a Bonus multiplier to his ticket, the winner took home a $46,419 prize.
The Montgomery County resident bought his lucky ticket at Champion Billiards Sports Café in Frederick, which is near his workplace. “It was just random luck,” the man said. He bought two races for $12, placing a Trifecta Box wager on horses 10, 11 and 12. The bonus tripled his prize.
“I knew I won right away, and I couldn’t believe it,” the loyal player said. His lucky Lottery retailer, Champion Billiards Sports Café located at 5205 Buckeystown Pike, will receive a $464.19 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
