Eastern Shore resident wins on the final line of last instant ticket she purchased
A blizzard of winnings came this week to a Salisbury woman, who discovered the first $100,000 top prize on the new Snowflake Tripler scratch-off.
The big winner purchased four Snowflake Tripler instant tickets at Shore Stop in Salisbury and took them home. The Wicomico County resident then started to scratch them off while watching TV. The first three scratch-offs were non-winners but then she saw she had matched a winning number on the last line of the last instant ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it. The most money that I had ever won was $200. This was crazy,” said the Eastern Shore player. She revealed a winning number of 13 and on the fifth row of her ticket contained a 13 with a $100,000 prize.
The happy winner plans to use her new fortune to purchase a car and will surprise her daughter with a gift during the holidays.
The winning ticket was sold by the Shore Stop at 1140 Parsons Road in Salisbury. For selling the top-prize winning scratch-off, the Wicomico County business will receive a $1,000 bonus.
Snowflake Tripler is one of six festive scratch-offs that went on sale Oct. 21 and were joined this month by three FAST PLAY holiday games. Four of the Snowflake Tripler game’s $100,000 prizes are now unclaimed along with 31 of 33 second-tier prizes of $10,000.
The launch of these holiday games also kicked off the Holiday 2024 Second-Chance Promotion. Players can enter non-winning holiday scratch-offs and either winning or non-winning FAST PLAY holiday tickets into My Lottery Rewards for a second chance to win holiday cash. The Lottery will select five winners each week for 12 weeks to win $5,000 each. Two additional winners will take home $100,000 each in midway and final grand prize drawings.
