Now through April 28, players who buy any draw ticket have a chance to win a free FAST PLAY ticket valued at $1, $2, $3 or $10. The free ticket, awarded at random, prints automatically after a draw purchase. Look for the message at the top of the ticket stating “Congratulations! This is your FREE FAST PLAY ticket!”
On the day he received his free ticket, the grandfather was visiting a Royal Farms in Salisbury to play his Lottery games. “Salisbury Winner,” as he nicknamed himself to tell the story of his big win, said he looked at the free $2 FAST PLAY 7-11-21® ticket he received with one of his draw game purchases and didn’t realize he’d won the FAST PLAY game’s progressive jackpot prize. “I thought it was $1,000,” he said.
The Wicomico County man happily phoned one of his daughters, who is a FAST PLAY fan, to share the news about his “$1,000” win while he was still in the store. “I was at home,” recalled the daughter, who joined her dad on his journey from the Eastern Shore to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the big prize. “I said, ‘Send me a picture of the ticket.’ I was doing the math and then I said, ‘Oh my goodness! You got the jackpot!’”
“Salisbury Winner” quickly left the store with his winning ticket so no one there would be the wiser. He is keeping news of his big win a secret. His plans for the prize are simple: “Put it in the bank,” reports the daughter. She wasn’t aware of the Spring Fling promotion until the two loyal players arrived at Lottery headquarters. Her next steps, she said, will be visiting a Lottery retailer to try her luck, too!
The jackpot-winning 7-11-21 ticket hails from the Royal Farms located at 1401 South Division Street in Salisbury. The Wicomico County retailer received a $257.65 bonus from the Lottery for selling the lucky ticket.
The 7-11-21 game, which went on sale April 1, has a progressive jackpot that starts at $1,500 and grows with the sale of each ticket until someone buys a progressive jackpot-winning ticket – or wins one in the Spring Fling promotion! The game has 10 progressive jackpot prizes remaining.
