Players bought lucky tickets in Elkton, Landover
FAST PLAY and Bonus Match 5 brought Friday night delight to players last weekend. The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky folks who bought the $83,775 winning FAST PLAY Payday ticket sold in Elkton and the $50,000 top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket in Landover.
The Payday ticket carried one of six progressive jackpots awarded to date in the $5 game, which still has 14 progressive jackpot prizes remaining. The Elkton Travel Center of America located at 1400 Elkton Road in Cecil County sold the lucky ticket on Friday night.
The top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket for the Jan. 8 drawing matches the five numbers of 2, 12, 15, 28 and 29; the Bonus Ball was 17. The player bought the ticket at 25 Hour Market located at 3316 Dodge Park Road in Landover. This is our second top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket of 2021.
Both retailers will receive bonuses from the Lottery for the winning sales. The Elkton Travel Center of America will earn a bonus of $837.75, and 25 Hour Market in Prince George’s County will receive a bonus of $500.
Lottery officials encourage the winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. Winners typically get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency.
The two winners can claim their prizes by mail or in person by appointment at the Lottery headquarters’ Customer Resource Center located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. Winners of smaller prizes can claim them by mail, at Lottery retailers and casinos or by appointment at Lottery headquarters.
