A ride-share driver is our newest big winner in the Maryland Lottery’s MONOPOLY™ second-chance promotion. This week, Baltimore County resident Ricardo Celedon was one of 11 lucky Lottery players selected in the promotion’s April 19 drawing. He won the $57,296.70 Rolling Cash Jackpot prize.
The Catonsville resident won the third of six Rolling Cash Jackpots being awarded during the MONOPOLY second-chance promotion.
The 46-year-old entered non-winning MONOPOLY scratch-offs and FAST PLAY MONOPOLY games into his My Lottery Rewards account to qualify. One of those eligible entries was selected on April 19 to win the Rolling Cash Jackpot. Ten other Lottery players were selected as $2,500 winners in the April 19 drawing.
Ricardo, a full-time ride-share operator, said the jackpot win is a welcome windfall and he plans to use the funds to pay off several bills and purchase a new family vehicle. The busy driver said he often will work 80-hour weeks when fares are good and his family needs the funds.
“With this win and paying off some bills, I can afford to take a few days off each week,” he said.
Players can enter any non-winning MONOPOLY™ scratch-off and winning or non-winning FAST PLAY MONOPOLY™ tickets into My Lottery Rewards for a chance to win cash prizes. There are six drawings, with each drawing awarding one Rolling Cash Jackpot and ten $2,500 prizes.
