Emmanuel Bekoe of Hagerstown was visiting his sister in Gaithersburg when he won his $50,000 scratch-off prize.
Wins $5,000, $50,000 on lucky scratch-offs
No wonder the Million Dollar Mega Multiplier has become Emmanuel Bekoe’s favorite Maryland Lottery scratch-off – he keeps winning!
The Hagerstown man has enjoyed lots of Lottery luck with the $20 scratch-off. He started out winning prizes of $25, $50 and $500 on the game and his luck keeps growing stronger. Emmanuel won $5,000 last week and brought home a $50,000-winning instant ticket last weekend.
“I kept winning and I wanted to keep playing. I wanted to see this thing through and sure enough, I won $50,000,” he said with a smile.
The Washington County resident, who purchases scratch-offs all over the Hagerstown area, found his big winning instant ticket in Montgomery County. He took a trip to Gaithersburg to visit his sister and, while there, purchased doughnuts and the scratch-off at Safeway #1620, located at 20211 Goshen Road in Gaithersburg.
Emmanuel works for a delivery company and has big plans for his prize. He will use it to purchase his own vehicle so he can make more deliveries and create his own delivery company.
“You make a lot more money when you have your own delivery truck,” he explained. The 49-year-old is married with five children and likes to play tennis in his spare time.
The Million Dollar Mega Multiplier game went on sale on July 18, 2022 and Emmanuel is the fourth $50,000 winner. There are still four $1 million top prizes remaining along with three $50,000 prizes, 82 $10,000 prizes and others ranging from $20 to $5,000.
“I’m going to keep playing,” the happy winner said.
