Lanham Resident Wins Big FAST PLAY Prize

Takes home $50,000 Lightning Cash top prize

A FAST PLAY fan can now count himself among the top-prize winners of the $5 Lightning Cash game. A quick stop after work last Friday led to a $50,000 win.

The Prince George’s County resident was getting off work when he stopped at a 7-Eleven store in Beltsville for a cold drink. While there, he decided to purchase a few FAST PLAY Lightning Cash tickets. As he scanned his tickets, one showed a congratulations message for a $50,000 win.

“I was speechless,” said the winner. “I had to let the cashier take a look for me.”

The cashier confirmed what the lucky player saw on the scanner. His ticket showed 22 lightning bolts which earned him a $50,000 top prize.

Excited, the roofing specialist rushed straight home and shared the news with his parents. They were both so happy for him and his father even accompanied him to claim the prize earlier this week. The Lanham man told Lottery officials that he plans to invest his winnings.

The FAST PLAY Lightning Cash ticket was purchased from the 7-Eleven store at 11350 Baltimore Avenue in Beltsville. The retailer is also celebrating. The store will receive a bonus of $500 from the Lottery for selling the ticket.
