Glen Burnie resident to use scratch-off winnings toward house purchase
A house cleaner from Glen Burnie is calling herself “Lucky Cleaning Lady” after winning a $30,000 top prize on a Diamond Bingo scratch-off.
The winner said she likes to play bingo-themed scratch-offs because they have the same excitement as playing live bingo. “I like that it takes a long time to play and I have always loved the thrill of playing bingo,” she said.
The Anne Arundel County resident is on a winning streak in 2023, having won $1,000 in January and now a $30,000 top prize. “I was so happy when I found out I was a winner. It took my breath away,” she explained.
“Lucky Cleaning Lady” would like to own a house and said she plans to put her prize toward that dream. The 50-year-old mother of two adult children said she likes to dance and cook when not at work.
She purchased her $3 instant ticket at JP’s Liquor Fair in Glen Burnie. For selling the top-prize winning scratch-off, the Anne Arundel County retailer at 6736 Ritchie Highway will receive a $300 bonus from the Lottery.
“Lucky Cleaning Lady” is the sixth top-prize winner in this third edition of the popular Diamond Bingo game since it started in June 2022. There is one more unclaimed $30,000 instant ticket along with other prizes ranging from $3 to $1,000.
