‘Mr. Three Times’ claims $50,000 top prize on $50,000 Cash scratch-off
A Pennsylvania man who is going by the nickname “Mr. Three Times” to tell his lucky story is no stranger to big-time Lottery winning in Maryland. He has scored three major Maryland Lottery prizes in the past few years including his new $50,000 top prize on a $50,000 Cash instant ticket.
The 53-year-old bought his lucky scratch-off in Carroll County at Sheetz #177 located at 3281 Main Street in Manchester. The Lottery retailer is close to the Pennsylvania state line and is his favorite place to buy Maryland Lottery games.
On his luckiest trip of 2023, “Mr. Three Times” bought two of the $20 $50,000 Cash scratch-offs and revealed the big $50,000 win on one of the games. The second one was a non-winner. The Hanover, Pennsylvania resident said his previous big wins were a $1 million top prize on a $20 instant ticket and $100,000 on a holiday scratch-off.
When not enjoying his hobby of playing scratch-offs, “Mr. Three Times” has worked as a contractor for 21 years. He plans to use his prize to pay for a nice vacation with his wife.
The $50,000 Cash instant ticket went on sale in December 2022 with 160 top prizes. There are still 119 top prizes remaining. His lucky Lottery retailer, Sheetz #177, will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
