Millersville man claims $30,000 top prize on $3 game
“Grab and go” is how an Anne Arundel County resident says he likes to play Lottery games. The Millersville man favors scratch-offs and prefers newer instant tickets.
When he saw a $3 Frogger instant ticket for sale at Giant #141 in Glen Burnie, the 51-year-old leapt at the opportunity to play. Now, he’s leaping for joy after the instant ticket revealed a $30,000 top prize.
The player found his lucky game at the Anne Arundel County grocery located at 7940 Crain Highway. He initially went in to buy groceries, but couldn’t resist a trip to the Lottery kiosk and bought five Frogger tickets.
The loyal player scanned his scratch-offs for a win later that day and was quite surprised to learn that one of them carried a top prize. He called a few close family members to share the news but otherwise is keeping his good fortune under wraps.
The happy winner currently works as a mechanical engineer for industrial equipment and enjoys cars and travel. He plans to save and invest his prize.
His lucky Lottery retailer, Giant #141, will receive a $300 bonus for its role in selling a top-prize winning scratch-off worth $30,000. The $3 Frogger ticket went on sale in March and has three $30,000 top prizes remaining.
