Dundalk woman claims top prize on Money Bag Multiplier scratch-off
“I play scratchers a lot, but I never win!” That’s what a Baltimore County woman told Lottery officials about her luck right up until her latest scratch-off purchase. She bought a $10 Money Bag Multiplier instant ticket that carried a $100,000 top prize!
The 39-year-old made a stop at Sterling Liquors located at 1205 Merritt Boulevard in Dundalk. Her grandfather told her that he needed to pick up some wine and she was tasked with taking him to the liquor store. While there, the Dundalk resident decided to treat herself to a scratch-off. The lucky woman normally buys multiple instant tickets at a time. But on the day she encountered Lottery luck, the player settled for just one scratch-off and it’s the only one she needed.
After arriving home, she scanned the prize check area of her instant ticket and excitement set in once she read the message, “Take to Lottery.” Unable to believe her eyes, the happy player called her mom to help confirm the big win.
The winner, who works as a bartender, enjoys spending time at the beach. She’s going to use her prize to take some extra beach vacations and will save the rest of the windfall.
Sterling Liquors also wins. The retailer collects a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off worth $100,000. The Money Bag Multiplier game went on sale in April with eight $100,000 top prizes. There are still two remaining along with four $50,000 prizes and 12 $10,000 prizes.
