Multi-Match jackpot-winner sold in Cumberland; $50,000 Powerball prize in Hagerstown
Lottery players in Western Maryland were big winners on July 15, as Maryland’s in-state jackpot game, Multi-Match, delivered a $560,000 jackpot to a player in Cumberland, and a Powerball ticket sold in Hagerstown won a $50,000 prize.
The Multi-Match ticket, which matched the six winning numbers (3, 14, 29, 30, 32 and 35) was sold at the Sheetz store located at 2045 Bedford Road in Cumberland. The winner can choose between an estimated annuity of $560,000 paid in 25 annual installments, or an estimated $310,000 cash option. Prize amounts are before taxes. The Allegany County retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the lucky ticket.
The $50,000-winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Pilot Travel Center located at 11633 Greencastle Pike in Hagerstown. It is the 35th Powerball ticket sold in Maryland this year to win the game’s $50,000 third-tier prize.
The Multi-Match ticket sold in Cumberland was the game’s sixth jackpot winner of 2024. The first five were:
- March 25 at Klein’s Shop Rite in Belcamp ($2.1 million)
- April 29 at St. Paul Mini Mart in Baltimore ($660,000)
- May 30 at Wawa in Adelphi ($580,000)
- June 3 at Royal Farms in Glen Burnie ($500,000)
- June 20 at Four Corners Exxon in Mt. Airy ($540,000)
The June 20 winning ticket sold in Mt. Airy remains unclaimed as of July 16. Winners have 182 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes by scheduling an appointment at Lottery Headquarters in Baltimore. Click here to schedule an appointment.
Multi-Match drawings are held Monday and Thursday nights, and the jackpot starts at an estimated annuity value of $500,000. Six winning numbers are drawn from a range of 1 to 43. For each $2 ticket, players choose six numbers, and then receive two additional lines of six numbers that are randomly generated. To win the jackpot, players must match all six winning numbers on a single line. They can also win smaller prizes by matching three to five of the winning numbers on a single line, or by matching at least five of the winning numbers by using all three lines of their ticket.
There was no jackpot winner in the July 15 Powerball drawing, and the jackpot grows to an estimated annuity value of $75 million ($36 million cash option) for the next drawing on July 17.
