Out-of-State Resident Going Home $30,840 Richer Due to Racetrax Win

New Jersey woman tried her luck with a Trifecta bet

A Manchester, New Jersey resident who rarely plays Lottery games tried her luck with Racetrax during a recent visit to Maryland. When she returns to her home state, the happy player will have an extra $30,840 to her name, thanks to her winning ticket.

She found Lottery luck waiting at Seaside Restaurant, located at 224 North Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. The visitor frequently stops there when she’s in town. She placed a $20 Trifecta bet on horses 2, 5, and 6. She then added the Bonus multiplier, which brought the ticket’s cost to $40. When the selected horses crossed the finish line in that exact order, the lucky lady was already a winner of a $514 prize. Instead of betting the $1 minimum, the New Jersey native had bet $20, which brought her total to $10,280. The 3X bonus brought her total winnings to a whopping $30,840.

The self-employed worker said that she felt very lucky about her win. She doesn’t have any plans for her prize, other than paying bills.

Her Lottery retailer, Seaside Restaurant, is also a winner. The Anne Arundel County business will receive a $308 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
