“Chicklet” of Princess Anne won the top prize on the $100,000 Extreme Cash game hours after winning $11,000 at a casino.
Claims top prize on $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off following casino success
A Princess Anne woman enjoyed an incredible 12-hour winning streak, scoring $11,000 at Ocean Downs Casino and $100,000 on the $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off the next day.
“I left the casino after I won around 1 a.m.,” said “Chicklet,” the nickname selected by the winner to tell her lucky story. “I bought the scratch-off the next day around noon. I was still wearing the same clothes. I guess those clothes are lucky!”
“Chicklet” said she was home with her boyfriend when she discovered her $100,000 top-prize scratch-off win. The Eastern Shore resident called the winning moment “surreal” and said she was jumping up and down.
Her Lottery fun began when she purchased her winning $30 instant ticket at Thirsty’s in Somerset County. At the store, the mother of four was trying to decide which scratch-off to purchase in the Lottery self-serve vending machine and chose $100,000 Extreme Cash.
“I just bought that scratch-off because it stood out to me and pink is my favorite color,” “Chicklet” said with a laugh.
The 31-year-old is a certified nursing assistant who works 12-hour days. Her son now lives in China so she plans to use some of her prize to travel to see him more often. She also plans to use her prize toward her career goal. “I plan to further my education,” explained “Chicklet.”
For selling the winning instant ticket, Thirsty’s at 12020 Somerset Avenue in Princess Anne will receive a $1,000 bonus.
“Chicklet” becomes the 60th top-prize winner in the $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off game and is the game’s third top-prize winner in the last two weeks. The game went on sale in September 2020 and four top prizes remain unclaimed along with others ranging from $30 to $5,000.
