Retired banker prefers Quick Pick option when playing Lottery
A Baltimore woman uses a different set of numbers every time she plays Bonus Match 5 and that strategy paid off as she won the $50,000 top prize.
The retired banker explained that she went to a Lottery retailer to check her ticket and received the always welcoming “Go to Lottery Headquarters” message. She knew it was a good sign.
“I was shocked. It was an unbelievable feeling,” said the arts and crafts hobbyist. The northeast Baltimore resident is undecided on how she is going to spend her prize.
Many players prefer to use their favorite numbers when they play Lottery games, but our winner said she likes to walk into a store and play Quick Pick tickets every time.”I just play. I don’t need to worry about playing the same numbers,” she added.
The Baltimore County store that sold the winning ticket, Giant at 11399 York Road in Cockeysville, will receive a $500 bonus.
This is the sixth Bonus Match 5 winner of 2025 and all prizes have been claimed. Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from one to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
