Player takes wins and losses in stride
A Maryland Lottery player from Reisterstown picked up a win of $10,245.90 playing Racetrax on a ticket bought Sept. 21 at the Rolling Road BP gas station.
“Easy come, easy go,” he said on Oct. 4 when he claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. A fan of both Racetrax and Keno, the 66-year-old said he enjoys playing the games, and it’s nice to win from time to time.
Most players, he said, “never tell you about losses.” The Baltimore County resident said he has won enough times – and enough money – to keep things interesting. He’s also a fan of the Lottery’s My Lottery Rewards player loyalty program and its second-chance promotions.
He won his prize with a Superfecta Box bet on the horses numbered 5, 6, 7 and 9, buying a ticket for a single race.
Sharing in the player’s good luck is the BP gas station where he bought the ticket. The Lottery awards the business at 2202 North Rolling Road a bonus of $102.45, equal to 1% of the prize.
