Claims top prize on Ca$h Bonus scratch-off
A lucky Bowie man with an affinity for scratch-offs said he wanted to shake up his routine and try some of the new games on the market. His first time buying the new Ca$h Bonus instant ticket earned him a $100,000 top prize.
“My mind was blown,” said the 66-year-old. He purchased the $10 game at his local Safeway in Bowie. The retired IT specialist went there not to buy groceries, but to buy Lottery games because he felt that was where his chances of winning were best. As it turns out, he was right!
So far, the anonymous player hasn’t shared the news of this great win even with his wife of 43 years. When asked of his plans for his prize, the Prince George’s County resident said that he just plans to do some needed home improvements.
Safeway #2713 located at 12410 Fairwood Parkway receives a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off of $100,000 or more. The Ca$h Bonus game arrived at Lottery retailers on Aug. 23 with eight top prizes. There are still seven top prizes remaining along with eight $50,000 prizes and 24 $10,000 prizes.
