A Salisbury woman’s Lottery luck continues as she wins a second $100,000 scratch-off prize.
Lucky instant ticket was last of its kind in the dispenser
An Eastern Shore player continues to enjoy scratch-off luck, having won $100,000 in 2018 and a $100,000 top prize recently on the $30 $100,000 Lucky scratch-off.
The Wicomico County woman, who is using the alias “Momma Dukes,” said she and her husband found the winning scratch-off when they visited her favorite Lottery retailer, Thirsty’s in Salisbury. She noticed a $100,000 Lucky scratch-off perched all by itself in a dispenser and decided to purchase it.
“It was the last ticket on the roll. No one wanted it so we decided to take it,” she explained.
“Momma Dukes” decided to scratch off the game in the store and instantly saw she won. The 52-year-old matched one of the game’s winning numbers on the first line for her big win.
“After I scratched off the ticket, I said to the clerk, ‘Surprise!’” said “Momma Dukes.”
The Salisbury player also won the top prize on a Diamond 10s game five years ago as well as $10,000 on another scratch-off. “Momma Dukes” works in the healthcare field with seniors. She has not yet decided on how she will spend her newfound fortune.
One store that has benefited from her Lottery luck is Thirsty’s at 444 Snow Hill Road in Wicomico County. “I had all three of my winners at that same store,” said “Momma Dukes.” For selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the Salisbury retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus.
The $100,000 Lucky game went on sale in September 2021. This is the 33rd top-prize winner claimed, leaving 32 available along with other prizes ranging from $30 to $5,000.
