Harford County man claims $50,000 prize playing Lucky Times 10 scratch-off
This past weekend turned out to be extremely lucrative for a 26-year-old future business owner. The Bel Air resident was on his way home from work when he purchased a couple of scratch-off games, including the Lucky Times 10 instant ticket, from a Belcamp business. He chose the very last Lucky Times 10 scratch-off in the row, which was unusual.
“I typically pick tickets that are fourth or fifth in the rows,” he said. “I never get the last one.”
It’s a good thing the Harford County man did choose the last instant ticket because that’s the one that yielded a $50,000 second-tier prize.
“When I saw I matched a winning number and saw the prize there, I just froze,” he said. “I immediately left the store and went home.”
Even though the prize clearly read $50,000, the big winner still was not completely sure of his Lottery luck. He did, however, hide his scratch-off and then made an appointment to claim whatever the prize might be.
“I haven’t even looked at the ticket again until today,” he said. “I still can’t believe it.”
The cashier has dreams of opening his own business one day and had already been making plans to do so. He told Lottery officials when claiming the prize that the $50,000 will go toward making that dream a reality.
The grateful player found his Lottery luck at Riverside Sunoco Plus located at 1319 Riverside Parkway in Belcamp.
As for the Lucky Times 10 scratch-off that debuted in November 2022, there’s plenty of additional prizes to win. Players can search for five $100,000 top prizes as well as four more $50,000 prizes, 18 $10,000 prizes and over 451,000 prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000!
