Second Quick-Pick Ticket Results in $50,000 Pick 5 Prize

Federal worker won with 04500

There are some numbers that you see for the first time that give you a good feeling and that’s what happened to a Windsor Mill woman. She decided to play an extra Pick 5 quick-pick ticket for $1 in a December drawing and saw it carried the number 04500, which gave her a good feeling. Hours later, that feeling turned into happiness when the lucky number led to a $50,000 prize.

The big winner said she often buys multiple Pick 5 tickets. Most of her numbers have a personal significance, such as a birthday or other special date. She likes to play a new number every game and her first ticket is always a quick-pick ticket.

After she made her daily quick-pick purchase on Dec. 10 for the midday drawing, the Baltimore County resident decided to add a second quick-pick ticket to her Lottery play. Seeing the number 04500 print on her ticket gave her a lucky feeling.

The federal worker’s instincts paid off. She was at home, checking her phone, when she saw that 04500 was selected for the Dec. 10 midday Pick 5 drawing.

The happy player said she plans to put the prize in the bank and might spend some of the money on her grandchildren.

She bought the ticket at the Rolling Road BP located at 2202 North Rolling Road in Windsor Mill. For selling a $50,000-winning Pick 5 ticket, the gas station receives a $500 Lottery bonus.
