The Week in Winners: $1,000 A Week for Life Prize Sold in Silver Spring; Eastern Shore Scratch-Off Pays $5 Million

Nearly $33 million in prizes are claimed in the past week throughout Maryland

A Maryland Lottery player in Silver Spring won $1,000 a week for life from the Feb. 8 Cash4Life drawing, and an Eastern Shore winner claimed a $5 million top prize on a scratch-off purchased in the Wicomico County town of Willards.

As of Feb. 12, the Cash4Life prize remains unclaimed.

In all, 44 Maryland Lottery tickets worth $10,000 or more were purchased or claimed in the week ending Feb. 11, and players collected prizes totaling nearly $33 million in that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
