Across Maryland, prizes total more than $31 million, with 36 tickets worth $10,000 or more
Maryland Lottery winners from Edgewood and Rosedale visited Maryland Lottery headquarters to spin The Big Spin Wheel, with one hitting for $125,000 and the other spinning for a solid $90,000 prize.
THE BIG SPIN, a $5 scratch-off game, went on sale April 22 with eight chances to spin for a prize of at least $50,000 and possibly as much as $250,000. Five chances to spin remain unclaimed as of May 28, and the game is the top selling scratch-off ticket on the Lottery’s Top 40 Scratch-Offs list.
Meanwhile, the week’s biggest single prize was on a FAST PLAY progressive jackpot game, Big Money Doubler, which hit May 23 for $162,441 on a ticket sold in Laurel. As of May 28, the FAST PLAY prize has not been claimed.
Across Maryland, the Lottery paid more than $31 million in prizes during the seven-day period ending May 26, including 36 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed during that span.
Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations.
