Players across the state won nearly $28.2 million in the seven days ending Oct. 23
As the jackpot continues to roll, a player who purchased a Powerball ticket last week in Mount Rainier landed a third-tier win of $150,000, the largest Maryland Lottery prize of the past week. The multi-line ticket also won an additional $57 in prizes, bringing the total value of the ticket to $150,057.
Meanwhile, another three players each won $100,000 on scratch-off tickets purchased in Bowie, Hyattsville and Waldorf. And three winning Pick 5 tickets worth $50,000 each were sold the same day at a retailer in Glen Burnie.
In all 48 winning tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed in the seven days ending Oct. 23, and the Lottery paid nearly $28.2 million in prizes during that span.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled to an estimated annuity value of $625 million for the drawing tonight (Oct. 24), with an estimated cash option of $299.8 million.
Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
