The Week in Winners: Rockville Player Hits for $250,000; $50K Wins in Charlotte Hall, Edgewater, Joppa, St. Leonard

Maryland Lottery Prizes total more than $29.7 million, with 22 tickets worth $10,000 or more

A Maryland Lottery player in Rockville claimed a $250,000 prize on a scratch-off ticket and another four players scored prizes of $50,000, one each in Charlotte Hall, Edgewater, Joppa and St. Leonard.

Across Maryland, the Lottery paid more than $29.7 million in prizes during the seven-day period ending Aug. 11, including 22 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed during that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
