Maryland Lottery Prizes total nearly $32.6 million, with 25 tickets worth $10,000 or more
A Maryland Lottery player who bought a scratch-off ticket in Howard County collected a $5 million prize, another player in Easton landed a $500,000 win, and a scratch-off sold in Dundalk paid $100,000, leading the Lottery’s list of big prizes in the past week.
Across Maryland, the Lottery paid nearly $32.6 million in prizes during the seven-day period ending Aug. 18, including 25 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed during that span.
Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.

Winners are encouraged to sign the backs of tickets and keep winning tickets in a safe location. Tickets for draw games expire 182 days after the drawing. The last date to claim for scratch-off tickets is on game’s tile on the scratch-off page.

Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins).
